I realize that this is long, long overdue. But I finally have the time to sit down and gather my thoughts. The last few months have been a whirlwind, in the best possible way!
We tied the knot June 6, 2024 with 30 of our closest family members and friends in an intimate ceremony at the gorgeous Big Cedar Lodge Garden Chapel, just outside of Branson, MO. We opted to get married on a Thursday afternoon to avoid any crowds that the resort might bring that weekend.
Our day began with the bridal party girls meeting at the Big Cedar Spa at 10 AM for hair, makeup, and all the primping. The spa far exceeded my expectations; it was (literally) picture perfect. My sister in law popped a bottle of champagne and mimosas were passed around! I took it easy because I really wanted to savor every special moment of the day; keeping things simple and relaxed!
In the meantime, the guys met at our cabin to hang out and have lunch. It was nice not having to book a separate location for them to get ready. The cabin served as the perfect man’s cave for the day. We loved staying in this quaint, private, one-room cabin for the weekend and would highly recommend!

Our ceremony took place at the charming Garden Chapel which looks like something out of a fairy tale. A 2 pm ceremony gave us and our guests plenty of time to get ready and enjoy the morning. We hired a violinist which kept with our simple theme. She did a wonderful job! And we didn’t bring a single decoration with us, other than the bridal party bouquets! The beauty of the chapel and scenery, with Table Rock Lake peeking through the background spoke for itself.

After the ceremony we took group pictures with family and friends outside the chapel. The weather was beautiful, with a slight overcast. Then we snuck away for a few bride and groom pictures.

We met everyone at Top of the Rock at 4:30 pm for a happy hour in the Buffalo Bar. I think this was our favorite part of the day, besides our vows! The environment was relaxed, fun, and intimate. We were able to mingle with family and friends and enjoy time together as newlyweds over some cocktails. It was perfect!

At 5:30 we headed upstairs for dinner at the luxurious Osage Restaurant. They were able to accommodate us and our 30 guests perfectly, with a hand-selected menu. We ate, a few toasts were made, cut the cake and had a great time. The food was outstanding!
After dinner we headed outside to the Buffalo Bar Patio to enjoy the beautiful sunset ceremony – a Top of the Rock tradition which includes the playing of bagpipes and shooting a historic cannon.
We could not have imagined a more perfect day or location for our wedding. It was a weekend we will savor for the rest of our lives!
